8월 13일 금요일에 민권센터 커뮤니티 냉장고에 희파뉴욕에서 라면 50박스를 후원해 드렸습니다.

민권센터의 커뮤니티 냉장고는 음식이 필요한 이웃들에게 언제든지 먹거리를 제공하는 프로그램입니다.

지금까지 함께 봉사해주신 채상민 이사님, 장재민 관장님, 테이군, 에린양, 이유주님 그리고 수심님 모두 모두 감사합니다.

민권센터는 1984년도에 설립된 뉴욕에서 가장 오래된 비영리 단체 중 하나이구요, 어려움이나 부당함을 당하는 한인들을 위한 권익옹호와 인권보호, 팬데믹 이후 한인들을 위해 실직수당이나 현금지급 등 서류미비자 분들을 위해 실질적인 도움을 주고 있는 단체입니다.

이번에 민권단체와 함께 뉴욕에서 한인분들에게 도움이 되는 의미있는 일들을 함께 하려고 합니다. 응원해주시고 관심가져주시는 가족분들 덕분입니다.

Hello everyone, we are sending some hopeful news from New York~!

We donated 50 boxes of ramen to the Community Center with a community refrigerator located on Main Street. The Community Refrigerator is a program created to give food to people who need it. It is created so that anyone can donate their own food and people who need it can take it anytime.

We thank everyone who volunteered with us including Director Choi Sang Min, Jamie Jang, Tay Cheong, Erin Cheong, Lee Yoo Joo and finally Soo Shim.

The Community Center was established New York during 1984 and has become one of the longest organizations standing today. They are based on protecting the Korean community's rights who faced discrimination and difficulties. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the Community Center has been giving practical support to the Korean community with unemployment benefits, cash payments, and undocumented immigrants. Going forward, we will try to meaningfully help our Korean community and the Community Center. Thank you to everyone who always supports us and our work. Thank you again.
